And so it begins. I headed over to my parents this morning to help them put together their new TV Stand. They’re having part of the storage room upstairs turned into a media room. It’s pretty intense, the most construction I’ve ever seen completed in what feels like a 3 week period. They’re just waiting on the TV and furniture to be delivered. We were so charged up about our trip to the candy store yesterday that we went ahead and put together a mock-up of the candy bar. We put plastic wrap over the tops of all the containers and Liddy and Brandy agreed to set the bar up at the Villa Saturday.
Amy went over to her parents to put together the favors for the reception. They came out awesome and people are really gonna like them (and if you don’t… Well… You know) At dinner my Dad gave a nice toast saying that a week from today they’ll finally have a redhead in the family. It was really nice since I’ve always known that they were disappointed in their boys and the decided lack of redhairedness we all demonstrate. Back to work tomorrow but just two days worth. Then it’s vacation time for me. That’s when I’ll REALLY start working.

Here we are 10 days until the wedding and things are getting exciting. I’ve moved in with Stevie for the last 2 weeks before the wedding. One of my coworkers (can’t remember which one) came up with the clever line of “Abstinence makes the heart grow fonder…” No comment.

I got an email from Tommy G this afternoon. Playing the part of a good groomsman he wanted to get together for dinner to lay the groundwork for what he’s calling “Operation Let’s Bolt”. I don’t know how that plan would go over though
Right now I’m sitting in Stevie’s living room watching game 4 of the Stars playoff series against the Sharks. As I type this Amy and I are watching the American Idol elimination show over the Slingbox (A must have for any Tivo addict who has to spend time away from the homefront.
Separated at birth?

David Archuleta just got through to the next round which means I’ve got to watch him sing again next week and I get to imagine pinching his cheeks and giggling maniacly
Amy and I went to the Courthouse today on our lunch break and got the marriage license. The lady who filled it out for us dogged me about my handwriting and made me print my name next to my signature because she said it had to be legible. My signature happens to be very unique and difficult to forge since it’s exactly the same every time. Listen up lady at the courthouse: I’m not dumbing it down for YOU!!
Alright folks. It’s off to bed for me. I’ve been reading 1776 since Stevie doesn’t have cable in his guest room. It’s the first time I’ve had to sleep without a TV since I was a little kid and it ain’t easy. I’ll check in again tomorrow with more Home Stretch Highlights.
